updates from the olive grove

This grove had been neglected for at least 10 years, no water, no pruning, nothing.

We’ve pruned the trunks and lowest branches as well as replaced the broken irrigation system. We’ve watered them during the hot months the past two seasons since Winter rainfall has decreased so much.

And we are really starting to see a change in the health of the trees.

They look happier, healthier, and they are producing way more olives.

We still want to do DNA tests to see what variety they are and we still want to cure some for table olives. We’ll keep you all posted!
